Becca Gets A Library Card!

Becca went to the library with Tatty and I this morning for a Baby Bounce group. This wasn't her first time there. We'd gone to pick out bedtime books for her last week and sign her up for the Summer Reading Program. Today was significant though because Becca signed up for a library card and checked out her first book, the Belly Button Book by Sandra Boynton! I hope that she grows up with the same joy of reading that her Mommy has.

Rice Cereal

Tonight I tried my first bite of rice cereal! Well, not really my first taste ever since my Mommy and Tatty have been adding a little bit of rice to my bottles for the last few months to help my GERD. The difference today was that I was introduced to a spoon! It was tricky but I hope to get the hang of it soon.

Nicknames

Mommy told me she is debating three nicknames for me that are sure to embarrass me when I'm older. They are: Sergeant Spit Up, Private Poopies and Major Pishies. (You just know she's going to share this with every guy I bring over for a date. Mommies do that sort of thing.)

Hopefully she doesn't tell my fellow campers about the name when I start serving in the "Army of Hashem" at Camp Gan Izzy.

2 Month Check Up

We took Becca right after Passover to her 2 month check up at the pediatrician. None of us were looking forward to this because she was getting herfirst shots. (I think they hurt me to watch them more then they actually hurt her...). A couple quick jabs from the very skilled nurse and she was done. Dr. Kravitz is very happy with Becca. Says she is perfect. We agree, though she probably says that to all the babies...

First Passover

Pre-gaming Pesach with a doughnut breakfast. Apple fritters are my favorite. (*She didn't actually eat it - Mommy)

Well, I survived my first Passover. Grandma even got me my own My First Passover bib! It was the height of Pesach fashion for all the babies this year. Everyone always complains about the food this time a year. Something called matzah. I don't know what all the fuss is about... My food tasted exactly the same...

Tatty and I enjoy matzah pizza at the Rhode's

I love my bib!

Becca's First Ice Cream...Sort of...

Yesterday I went to my first Ben & Jerry's Free Cone Day (My family LOVES free goodies!). Mommy tried to give me some ice cream but Tatty said no. Maybe next year.

No Mommy! I said I only like Phish Food!

Ew, Tatty! I don't like that flavor either!

My First Vacation

ROAD TRIP!!! This past weekend I took my first vacation! Being 6 weeks old is a LOT of work. I wake up, I eat, then I burp, then I get a new diaper, then I go to sleep, then I wake up, then I...well you get the picture. I take the words of poet laureate Ferris Bueller to heart, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." He is a wise, wise man. I hope I grow up to be just like him. (Mommy just piped in and said "You better not!".

Anyway, on Thursday night, Papa flew in to Dallas to meet us and Bubbe so we could drive down to Houston for Cousin Ava's Baby Naming. Papa came here first to be able to spend some extra quality time with me.  I'm a lucky little girl! I missed him a lot!

Unfortunately we couldn't make it to the naming since it was on Shabbat, but on Saturday afternoon I got a surprise visit from Uncle Alan, Ava's Daddy. We were so excited to meet each other!

We took this picture on Sunday:

Me and Uncle Alan

On Sunday we went over to Aunt Emily's parent's house to spend time with our family and meet Ava. It was so fun. We even took pictures with Papa and Bubbe holding us.

Ava and I cuddle with Bubby and Papa
I'm so lucky to have a cousin so close in age to me (7 weeks and 2 days to be exact).

Well, we're back home in Dallas now and I need a vacation from this vacation. Time for another nap!
